Questions by Sherian Boros of New Mexico. Answers by Ken Aspinwall of Georgia. Let this information help you get your marketing act together.

1.Sherian: What are the major problems facing network marketers?

Ken: The five major problems that seem most prevalent for network marketers are uniquely personal: vision, attitude, preparation, valuable service and massive action. All five issues fall under the umbrella of self-preparation. First, we have to know why we want a business and just saying we want money does not go far enough. We require a detailed vision e.g. life on the beach or in the mountains, always able to carry $500 in our pocket, having a large bank account, having a portfolio of investment properties, the boats and cars we want to drive, see ourselves wearing the clothes we really like, the places where we want to travel to or live in and even the charities we want to support. This is your vision and the stronger the better because fear will come. When we feel like quitting, we have to kiss the dreams good bye. The very best prospects are the people who want their dreams more than allowing fears to rule. Our vision must be powerful enough to conquer ALL fears. Some call it motivation and more precisely, it is self-motivation. Do we want these dreams badly enough to make massive, passionate action? Jesus Christ taught us how to move mountains. Are we doing it?

Attitude comes into play. We must have a mind over matter way of processing things with our vision as the driving force, the very engine of our business. We must be determined to break through barriers and obstacles. And this includes our own tendency toward inertia. A Proverb says, "The hand of the diligent gets precious wealth." These principles and parameters must be deeply embedded in our way of thinking. The key to success must include diligence. We must be unstoppable.

Preparation must come first, hand in hand with our vision and attitude. When we talk about the network marketing industry, we must face the high failure rate with reality. Those who suffer defeat are the ones who fail to learn the game. You must understand the rules of engagement before you can win at anything. It starts with a vision and goes to attitude. Those lead to preparation.

We must prepare ourselves to render valuable services to others. We must help them in life either to save money, save time or have a more quality experience. This is one reason the MpbToday program has become so wildly popular. It shows people how to eliminate their grocery bills. Thus, we show people a way to keep their money to be used for other purposes.

Massive action will be required. You cannot piddle with business and expect major gains. Whatever we want in life, we have to go get it. If we find ourselves in a funk or in a stalemate or in a useless diversion, it is better to take a break and relax with something else. Whenever possible, use motivational resources or enrich your mind with resource materials. You can get a free download of "The Science of Getting Rich" by a simple web search. Get your mind in shape and get back to the massive action.

All five of these issues come under one heading. There's only one big problem that networkers face and this is the problem of Self. We must have our own dreams. We must create our own winning attitude. We must prepare to engage in the business of serving the public. We must create value for others. We must do what it takes to address and captivate our market. Those who ignore these issues of self-preparation to effort will suffer defeat at their own hands. Aspire to be a champion in your vision, in your attitude, in your preparation, in the values you offer and in the intensity of your marketing. Did Michael Jordan become a champion any other way? Go to YouTube and search for Jordan. He has a video about how to win in life.

The purpose off learning is to gain the skills required to accomplish our business in life.

Ken: Orientation. We must mark out our path.

20. Sherian: What am I looking to accomplish personally and in my business?

Ken: This is one question that remains unique with all of us. For most of us, it can be summed up in the desire to improve our circumstances. We want more control and more freedom. The desire for freedom connects to money because we can purchase our tickets with money. When we have abundance, we have a greater measure of freedom and we may travel most anywhere we desire. This is called ultimate freedom. To live out of the box, we must think outside the box.
